Sephora collections

I really don't tend to go to Sephora very often because I find the grand majority of products ridiculously over priced. Now that I did go a few days ago I did indeed overpay for some Formula X polishes (swatches and video review to come), but more importantly I got some pictures of, what I thought, were the best kits and polishes Sephora currently has. 

 These Feather kits from Ciate are definitely adorable, but you can get the same by getting feathers from a craft store, ebay or etsy and using your own polishes. Way more options for MUCH cheaper.

I only have one polish from Nails Inc. but it is one of my favorite reds. The formula is amazing and

application is completely smooth.This holiday kit comes in adorable packaging and offers some pretty amazing colors for a kit.

 This Ciate kit is so amazingly cute! It has mini bottles behind little numbers as a way to count down until Christmas.

 This giant kit from Ciate looks amazing, but I hate that Sephora did not have one open to see what is inside. Plus, it is encased in plastic so there is no way to look. Obviously it is going to be packed full of nail goodies, but the last thing I need is any more nail clippers or files so I want to make sure that if I do pay the ridiculous price, I will be getting something I really want.

And here is the big Sephora X mini nail polish sampler that has been the talk of the town. I have to tell you all that I am not impressed. Not exactly with the polishes themselves, I picked up a few full sized bottles, but this sample set is a huge let down.

You can see in there that pretty much all the primary colors are represented. For me that is a total waste. I can't tell you how many basic blues, greens, reds, yellows etc. are in my collection. The "special effects" polishes in this kit are practically identical to the Maybelline Color Show Polka Dots Nail Polish. Just MUCH more expensive. 

I'm not saying that I will never get this kit, or at least some of the polishes in this kit, but it is not at the top of my list. I was just expecting so much more from all the hype. 

GREAT sale on Nail Polish & Gel Nails at Walgreens

Today at Walgreens I noticed quite a few really great deals on different nail polishes. 

Notice these first two Revlon pictures. The first set is more than 50% off! And the second set is about 50%. The same goes for the Sally Hansen Polishes that are pictured below. Some are more than 50% off and others are more than 50% off.

The last time I remember a brand doing this it was Sally Hansen and it was for the original line of their Complete Salon Manicure line. Sally Hansen put them on sale for $1.99 (originally about $7.99) and soon after rolled out a brand new collection.

With just how great these deals are, I'm wondering if that is what is going to happen here. We'll just have to wait and see!

Either way there are some great deals, I picked up some gel polishes and some gel stickers from Sally Hansen, because to me it was much more reasonable!

Spotted! Sinful Colors Decorate Decadently Winter 2013 Collection at Walgreens!

So today I have a VERY picture heavy post for you! It is worth the loading time though! While at Walgreens I spotted the Sinful Colors Winter 2013 collection. Let me just say that I am HIGHLY impressed. I did not buy all the colors in the collection, but I did purchase a few, and I am thinking that I will get a few more, but for now I am happy with what I got.

Even though I did not purchase the entire collection, I DID get pictures of the whole thing. So I am going to let them speak for themselves!

Now as you can tell I don't have any watermarks on any of these pictures. 1) Because my trial for MS Word has expired and I am waiting until the last possible second to give that train wreck of a program any more money (seriously Microsoft, do you ever get tired of messing up programs as you "improve" them?!?!) and 2) there are soooo many. So seriously, just don't steal them, give me a link back so that I don't feel so cheap and used. Thanks

 These are all "feather" polishes in a jelly clear base. Think of the Sally Hansen Feather Polishes.

 Spiked Ice is the last of the feather polishes, as you can see it looks completely black in the bottle, but on the brush you can see it is just black "feather" polish.

 So there you go! The entire Decorate Decadently collection by Sinful Colors! What do you think? Overall I am really impressed! 26 new shades is really good. Especially because I have been pretty disappointed with how little Sinful was doing for a while. In this collection there are 10 repromotes, but, like I said, 26 NEW polishes. So overall I am VERY happy!
